Raleigh Wedding & Portrait Photographer | North Carolina

Let’s Make Some Photo Magic!

Whether you’re planning a wedding, wrangling kids for a family session, or celebrating a new chapter, I’m here to make the photo process feel effortless—and maybe even fun (gasp!). My job is more than taking pretty pictures. It’s about helping you feel comfortable, seen, and celebrated in front of the camera—while capturing the real stuff: the belly laughs, quiet glances, windblown hair, and everything in between.

Below you’ll find a little more about how I work, how to book, and what you can expect when we team up.

My Approach

My goal is simple: help you feel like your best, most relaxed self in front of the camera.

I’ll gently guide you through poses that feel natural, fun and engaging. While I’m there to give direction when you need it, I’m also constantly looking for those unscripted, candid moments that really tell the story of your day.

  • I don’t expect kids to perform

  • Your big day doesn’t need sunshine and rainbows

  • I watch for real moments instead of forcing smiles

  • You don’t need to prep your kids to be “good”

  • I don’t need a “shot list” to work from

Whether we’re capturing rainstorm-escapes or perfectly curated vows; sandy toes or toddler chaos; my approach is documentary in spirit but always polished, thoughtful, and true to you.

  • You’ll receive your full wedding gallery within 30 days—no long waits here! Portrait sessions are delivered in just one week (seriously!). This isn’t the norm in the photography world, but I believe in fast turnaround and high-quality editing that doesn’t keep you waiting.

  • You can expect around 60–100 images per hour of coverage, depending on the flow of the session. That said, I’m a chronic over-deliverer—if a photo’s good, it’s getting in. Most packages include all of the edited digital files delivered via an online gallery (except mini sessions, where digitals are available separately).

  • Yes, a 25% retainer secures your date for both weddings and portrait sessions. The remaining balance is due 30 days before weddings and one week prior for portraits.

  • Yes! I frequent Wilmington, NC (I used to live there!) and never charge a travel fee for weddings in that area. Beach sessions for families, maternity, or engagements are only offered as full sessions for ILM—no minis at the beach. I’m happy to travel elsewhere too and always aim to keep travel fees minimal. New scenery = happy photographer.

  • Yes, I’m always hungry.

How to book?

Ready to get started? Fill out this contact form and send me a message with a few key details. I’ll reply by email so we can get the ball rolling. From there, we’ll either hop on a call or meet up in person—your choice—to talk about your vision and find the package that fits your wedding or portrait session best. I like to keep things easy, personal, and tailored to you.

**This might not be the right fit if you’re looking for stiff posing, perfectly coordinated smiles, or highly controlled sessions.

But if you want honest, connected images that reflect your real life — you’re in the right place.
